2024 Freeze Your Bass Blast Results. Winter Bass Fishing in the Pacific Northwest

The 2024 Freeze Your Bass Off tournament is hosted by the Evergreen Bass Club and is also a Washington State Bass Federation (WSBF) Qualifying event. To break it down, it’s one tournament that includes two different organizations. Competitors who register for both clubs will receive AOY points for both the WSBF and the Evergreen Bass Club.

The WSBF consists of nine bass fishing clubs and ten qualifying tournaments. The top percentage of competitors will qualify for the 2024 TBF National Semifinals which will be held on September 28-29 on the Columbia River. The winners of the semi-finals will compete in Texas for the TBF National Championship. We will keep you updated as the season progresses.

Results.

It was a cold and windy February day for the 53 teams that registered for the event held on Lake Sammamish. It was a productive day of winter bass fishing, both large and smallmouth bass were active and seven teams would catch a 5 fish limit.

Team Travis Archer and Eric Urstad caught a 6.2 lb bass that would win the Big Bass for the event, they would also finish the tournament in first place with a total of 21.4 lbs., clearing the 20 lb. threshold, in February isn’t an easy task. They took home over $3,000 in payouts.  This isn’t the first time Travis and Eric have won a tournament as teammates.

Jason Wynia and Chuck Tetrick finished in second place with a total of 19.2 lbs., and the second Big Bass of the tournament with a 5.15 lbs. bass. They would take home $1,600 in payouts. Not a bad day for winter bass fishing in the Pacific Northwest.

Tim and Dan Falcone caught a 5 fish limit that weighed in at 17.2 lbs. which would land them in third place, and they would take a $650 payout.

Everyone that finished in the Top10 took home a check.

Washington State Bass Federation AOY standings.

1. Adrian Gimenez 100 points

2. Jordan Doucet 99 points

3. Lon Yeary 98 points
